Global Indigenous Management proudly presents the Global Indigenous Fashion Festival & Trade Expo (GIFFTE), a landmark global celebration of Indigenous fashion, creativity, enterprise and design.

Taking place from 7 – 11 April 2027 at Melbourne Showgrounds. GIFFTE brings together three days of trade and industry engagement, connecting Indigenous-owned businesses and designers with buyers, industry leaders and the public.

The festival will showcase international Indigenous runways featuring designers from Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, the Pacific Nations, South East Asia, Canada and Native American communities across the Americas, alongside a prestigious Gala Awards Night celebrating excellence and achievement in First Nations fashion and design.

GIFFTE is built on 13 years of championing Indigenous talent through Melbourne Fashion Festival and Melbourne Fashion Week, and is powered by the Indigenous Runway Project, which has supported more than 2,000 First Nations young people globally since 2012.

GIFFTE brings together fashion, trade, culture and enterprise on one international platform, creating opportunities for Indigenous designers and businesses to connect, grow and take their work to the world.

The Expo provides a global platform to showcase Indigenous products, services and creative enterprises while building valuable commercial connections and opening doors to new markets.

For 13 years, Global Indigenous Management has featured Indigenous talent at Melbourne Fashion Festival and Melbourne Fashion Week. This festival is the net chapter, a global home for Indigenous designers, models and trade, founded by Tina Waru.
