Founded by Tina Waru, Global Indigenous CO is a business focused on concept development and creation of Indigenous global content for fashion runways, installations, activities, music, film projects, cultural events, and productions.

For the past 12 years, the company has delivered and facilitated independent fashion runway events and productions as part of Melbourne Fashion Week, Melbourne Fashion Festival and for corporate and government partners. In 2023 Tina has won four highly acclaimed creative industries awards both internationally and nationally. In fact, Tina recently won the Governors Export Award for the Creative Industries in Victoria 2023 and a finalist for the Australian Exports Awards.

Several months ago, Global Indigenous Co went on to win two Gold Awards in the MUSE Creative Awards in New York which is equal to winning the Oscars in the creative industries. Competing against the top advertising agencies such as Getty Images, Paramount Pictures and Universal Studios. In Europe she went on to win one of the most prestigious design awards in the world – the A Design Awards. Tina hit the red carpet in Lake Como, Italy with all the top designers in the world taking home a bronze award in the Spatial design Category.

In addition to these accomplishments, Tina’s pride and joy is in having supported more than 1800 First Nations young people and building their confidence and self-esteem to pursue career pathways in the industry. She founded a not for profit that delivers fashion bootcamp programs for Indigenous young people and disadvantaged communities, focusing on personal development and engagement activities.

Tina’s company is now expanding into the fashion retail sector with its own signature brand featuring First Nations designs from across the globe. Providing a large international team of First Nations event specialists, creatives and artists that can turn an event into something spectacular and uniquely special, Global Indigenous Management presents First Nations storytelling at its finest.
